It's well known that you will not be able to sustain high power levels on the 2.5 TFSI EA855 engines without the fitment of an efficient intercooler system. Racing Line's Performance Intercooler for Audi RS3 8V.2 & 8Y and TTRS 8S will deliver cool intake charge again and again. An essential upgrade! Racing Line’s High Performance 'Plate & Bar' Intercooler for Audi RS3 8V.2 & 8Y and TTRS 8S will deliver lovely cool intake charge air temperatures for your 2.5 TFSI EA855 car. The factory intercooler on the 2.5 TFSI cars has proved to be unable to cope with the demands of higher power, hard driven cars, showing up as serious power losses during hard driving as air temperatures soar. Racing Line’s massive 'Plate & Bar' Intercooler System is one of the best performing intercooler upgrade on offer for these cars. Its massive stepped core gives a mighty 77% increase in frontal area over stock, and uses careful optimised internal flow guides to efficiently divert flow into both the upper and lower sections of the cooler. The internal fin design features a high-speed core using extra tall internal tubes for maximum boost flow. Fitment is specific for the Audi RS3 8V.2, 8Y & TTRS 8S - meaning no cutting or drilling is required to fit, and it's carefully designed to retain and fit around the car's original front crash bar. Racing Line’s development focussed on finding the ‘sweet spot’ of maximum IAT cooling versus minimum pressure loss. Cast end tank construction ensures minimal turbulence and restriction, delivering maximum flow across the entire stepped-core’s depth, aided by the integrated flow guides. This has allowed Racing Line to achieve increased core volume by an impressive 69.5% versus the factory cooler, but without the typical increase in lag that often results from such a big cooler. Intercooler outlets are 70mm - meaning stock boost pipes can be retained, or for optimum performance, Racing Line’s upgraded boost pipe kit fits perfectly. By consistently reducing intake air temperatures (IAT), heat soak is minimised delivering increased performance again and again. No need for the recovery cool-down times that the production intercooler requires. This race-proven cooler really is essential for every stage of tuning on any Audi RS3 or TTRS with 2.5 TFSI EA855 engine (400ps). Engine codes: DAZA, DAZC, DNWA, DXHA.
