20-0587 BAFFLED OIL CAP VTE KIT, GM Crankcase blow-by quickly escalates during aggressive driving. Excess oil saturated air circulating back into the air intake stream can degrade performance. Filtering these crankcase vapors out of the intake will effectively increase the octane of the burned gases.  This system features a VTE (vent to engine) anodized aluminum replacement billet oil cap. It has an integrated air/oil separator that accelerates oil condensation through a reusable stainless steel baffle. Furthermore, a new O-ring sealed PCV valve is introduced that prevents intake pressure from entering the crankcase. Also, in the event of a backfire, the PCV valve prevents combustible vapors from igniting in the crankcase.
