The best intercooler solution on the market for the Volvo 850 C70 S70 V70 Turbo 1994-98! The package contains do88's in-house developed performance intercooler and "overhead" charge pipes. This package is intended for those with high power targets who want to upgrade to the very best. Simply switching to our performance intercooler is already a huge improvement, but together with our charge pipes the improvement becomes enormous. Our charge pipes flow considerably better than the original pipes, which has been verified both in the car and on our own SuperFlow SF-1020 flow bench. The BigPack consists of an intercooler made entirely from aluminium plus a complete set of 2.5" aluminium charge pipes and silicone hoses. The package replaces everything between the turbo and the throttle body and therefore delivers the drastically improved flow and cooling compared with the original. The intercooler is built with CAD-designed, flow-optimised cast end tanks and a carefully selected core to achieve the best possible cooling together with the lowest possible pressure drop! The charge pipes are made from 2.5" extruded aluminium tube, mandrel-bent in one piece to the correct shape! The pipes reverse the flow through the intercooler so that the air going up to the throttle body is taken from the bottom of the intercooler. This pipe routing is 55 cm shorter than the original, which improves throttle response. Specially designed silicone hoses of the highest quality with 4-layer polyester/aramid reinforcement to cope with high temperatures and pressures. It is worth remembering that the original intercooler and charge pipes were designed for the power the car had as standard, and once power is raised, or the car is used very hard in standard form, their performance is no longer sufficient. So even with raised boost pressure / a software upgrade / chip tuning, the BigPack delivers improved performance! A common misconception is that an intercooler in the original location cannot cool well and that a front-mounted intercooler / FMIC would be much better. In reality the do88 BigPack is far better than most FMIC installations, where there is only room for a core with far too little cooling area, often also with the air supply partly blocked by, for example, the crash bar, which in many cases gives worse cooling than the original intercooler. The do88 BigPack comes with all the parts needed for fitting in the car. Fitting uses the original mounting points. Note! The air guide to the air filter box does not fit when these charge pipes are installed. It can be fitted if the hose end towards the throttle body is trimmed by about 25 mm.
