This constant-tension hose clamp has been developed primarily for use in the automotive industry.
The difference between this hose clamp and the ordinary Mikalor hose clamps is the semi-circular spring-loaded insert fitted on the inside of the band. The spring-loaded insert provides constant pressure right around the hose, even with variations in temperature, pressure or vibration. For that reason this hose clamp is ideal for use in vehicle cooling systems and intercooler systems, since clamps used in these applications are subject to expansion and contraction caused by frequent temperature changes. These hose clamps are made entirely of stainless steel, which ensures good corrosion resistance.
This hose clamp complies with the DIN 3017 standard and the EU 2002/95/EC directive.
(*) It is recommended to apply up to 75% of the maximum values in the table.
(**) The maximum pressure may vary depending on the type of hose used and the design of the connection.
Note: to choose the right size of clamp, check that the outside diameter of the hose falls within the clamping range given in the table.
