The spring hose clamp is designed to distribute an even clamping pressure around the whole clamping area. This type of hose clamp is recommended where the hose is exposed to rapid temperature changes that can cause expansion and contraction in the material the hose is fitted to. These hose clamps are quick and easy to fit and can also be fitted by hand, in some cases without tools. Note: to choose the right size of clamp, check that the outside diameter of the hose falls within the clamping range given in the table.
