Absolutely the best intercooler on the market for the Opel Vectra C, 2002-2008! A high-performance intercooler, developed by do88, which replaces the car's original intercooler and delivers very good performance without having to rebuild the whole car! Key advantages of the do88 high-performance intercooler (original intercooler): - Core volume: 13770 cm3 (7411 cm3), do88 86% larger - Air flow at 0.15 bar pressure drop: 356 CFM (218 CFM), do88 63% higher - Temperature after the intercooler under the same test conditions: 27°C (45°C), do88 18°C lower - Fits directly in the specified car models Made entirely from aluminium, with CAD-designed, flow-optimised cast end tanks and a carefully selected core to achieve the best possible cooling together with the lowest possible pressure drop! It is worth remembering that the original intercooler was designed for the power the car had as standard, and once power is raised, or the car is used very hard in standard form, its performance is no longer sufficient. So even with raised boost pressure/a software upgrade/chip tuning, our intercooler will improve performance! The original intercooler has plastic end tanks which do not cope with higher boost pressure over longer periods, so our intercooler also improves reliability. The do88 high-performance intercooler has 2.5" (63 mm) hose connections instead of the 2.25" (57 mm) of the original intercooler. Thicker connections were chosen because they give a considerable improvement in flow. Two silicone hoses are therefore included to replace the original hoses at the intercooler inlet and outlet. A common misconception is that an intercooler in this position cannot provide good cooling and that a front-mounted intercooler/FMIC would be far better. In reality the do88 high-performance intercooler is far better than most FMIC installations, where there is only room for a core with far too small a cooling area, often with the air supply partly blocked by the crash bar, for example, which in many cases gives worse cooling than the original intercooler. The do88 high-performance intercooler comes with all the parts needed for fitting in the car. Everything is included for easy installation. All the mountings for the radiator, air conditioning condenser and air guides are of course present on our intercooler. An installation instruction produced for the Saab 9-3 is included as guidance.
