As this is a do88 performance product, it was thoroughly tested during development to achieve the best possible performance. No compromises have been made. The cooler is space-optimised as far as possible for fitting in the original location. A full 69% more core volume is a difference we are proud to have achieved. It is something that can genuinely be felt. The engine pulls considerably better throughout the rev range and withstands repeated hard acceleration without building up heat. The notion that the intercooler does not need replacing until a high level of tuning is reached is untrue, yet it remains widely held. On warm Swedish summer days, during repeated pulls, spirited driving or simply in a warmer climate, the engine does not have to work hard before it starts producing dangerously high intake temperatures - even on a completely standard car. The cooling capacity of the standard intercooler is in many cases clearly inadequate, and the engine and its power suffer as a result. The heat has to be removed, otherwise the promised power will drop drastically as soon as the throttle is opened. This intercooler ensures the car's performance is always there. The product is supplied with everything needed for straightforward fitting, with no modifications to the car's original form required.
