High-performance intercooler for the Volvo V40! This is an in-house designed intercooler developed by do88 for easy fitting in the Volvo V40. Advantages of the do88 performance intercooler (original intercooler): Volvo V40 2013–2015 - Larger core volume: 18480 cm3 (6478 cm3), 185% larger! - Air flow at 0.175 bar pressure drop: 508 CFM (365 CFM), 39% higher! Volvo V40 2015– - Larger core volume: 18480 cm3 (7544 cm3), 145% larger! - Air flow at 0.175 bar pressure drop: 481 CFM (297 CFM), 62% higher! This intercooler is designed for the best possible cooling performance under demanding conditions. Made entirely from aluminium with fully seam-welded joints, it provides durability and endurance where it really matters. The increased core volume improves cooling capacity and lowers the engine's inlet temperature. As this is a do88 performance product, it was thoroughly tested during development to achieve the best possible performance. No compromises have been made. The cooler is space-optimised as far as possible for fitting in the original location. A full 185% or 145% more core volume is a difference we are proud to have achieved. It is something that can genuinely be felt. The engine pulls considerably better throughout the rev range and withstands repeated hard acceleration without building up heat. The notion that the intercooler does not need replacing until a high level of tuning is reached is untrue, yet it remains widely held. On warm Swedish summer days, during repeated pulls, spirited driving or simply in a warmer climate, the engine does not have to work hard before it starts producing dangerously high intake temperatures - even on a completely standard car. The cooling capacity of the standard intercooler is in many cases clearly inadequate, and the engine and its power suffer as a result. The heat has to be removed, otherwise the promised power will drop drastically as soon as the throttle is opened. This intercooler ensures the car's performance is always there. The product is supplied with everything needed for straightforward fitting, with no modifications to the car's original form required. Bolts, washers, mounting brackets and fitting instructions are of course included. Look after the engine. Choose do88.
