Flexible smooth silicone hose, for when a hose that can be bent is needed. Compared with an ordinary silicone hose, this flexible hose is made with a steel spiral woven into the reinforcement. This gives the hose flexibility and a high burst pressure. Because of its smooth outer surface this hose is not as flexible as the other flexible silicone hose, which has a groove in the outer layer. It is worth comparing the minimum bend radii given in the specification tables. Because of its flexibility it suits a great many applications, for example as a radiator hose, heater hoses and so on. The hose can be bent to suit many different purposes. The hose tends to straighten out; it is the connections it is fitted between that determine its shape. Flexible hose with an internal diameter over 38 mm is not as flexible as the smaller sizes; these are suited to gentle bends. The minimum bend radius of this hose is given in the specification table.
