Made entirely from aluminium with fully welded seams, it guarantees durability and endurance when it really matters. The increased core volume improves cooling capacity and lowers the engine's inlet temperature. As this is a do88 performance product, thorough testing was of course carried out during the development phase to reach the best performance. No compromises have been made. This cooler is space-optimised as far as possible for fitting in the original location. A full 85% larger core volume and a 40% lower intake temperature is a difference we are proud to have achieved. It is something that really can be felt. The engine pulls considerably better across the whole range and withstands repeated full-throttle pulls without building heat. The notion that the intercooler does not need replacing until a high state of tune is reached is incorrect, yet still widely believed. On warm Swedish summer days, during repeated pulls, spirited driving or simply in a warmer climate, the engine needs little effort before it starts generating dangerously high intake temperatures, even on a completely untuned car. The standard intercooler's cooling capacity is in many cases clearly inadequate, and that affects the engine and its power. The heat must be removed, otherwise the promised power drops drastically as soon as the throttle is opened. This intercooler guarantees that the car's performance is always there. The charge pipe kit supplied with this BIGPACK is made from 2.5" extruded aluminium tube, mandrel-bent to the correct shape. All our pipe kits share the same design principles: gentle radii, forgiving transitions and the largest possible inner diameter. All to achieve optimal air flow and a lower pressure drop. This product is supplied with everything needed for easy installation, without any modification to the car's original form.
