Considerations The efficiency of a turbocharged car depends directly on the inlet temperature and the back pressure in the system. What is sometimes forgotten is that good flow ahead of the turbo compressor is just as important if it is to work efficiently. Reduced vacuum and cold inlet air mean the turbocharger can pump a greater mass of air, which ultimately affects the amount of oxygen reaching the intake - and that produces power. In short, there are large power gains to be had from a good inlet system! Over our years of development we have come to see the clear relationship between intake temperature, flow to the turbochargers and how this affects the car's power. do88 turbo inlet hose We began our development by 3D scanning the entire available space on the car so that the products could be worked on in a CAD environment in a rational way. The whole system is flow-optimised, and radii and angles have been reworked in stages to achieve the best result! The finished product is CFD-verified and, of course, also flow-verified on our own flow bench, a Superflow SF-1020, so that the customer knows what they are buying. The hoses come in a black finish and are supplied with a CNC-machined adapter that connects to the turbocharger inlet.
